The BPA will only collect information relevant to the clinical service, product, event ticket and training course being purchased or applied for. This information will usually include name, email and billing or shipping address. In some instances we will collect more detailed information such as your profession, status with other organisations and more detailed questions, if appropriate. If we do collect more detailed information this will be explained on the particular event/application page or form.

You directly provide the BPA with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

• Register or apply for one of our services online or place an order for any of our products;
• Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

The BPA collects your data so that we can:

• Process your event or training booking;
• Provide you with the services you have applied for;
• Email you with information on other services or events we think you might like.

The BPA does not share information with other third parties. We will only pass on your information in order to complete a contract or subscription you have applied for. We will always tell when and how your information will be shared when purchasing a product (event or training) or signing up to any service from the BPA.

The BPA stores your data securely within its offices or within its wider administrative structure. Back ups are regularly taken and data protection and security is built into the BPA’s operating processes.

We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with the BPA. We might also retain anonymised data after any identifiable data has been removed for analytical purposes.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request a correction to any of the data we hold on you if it is inaccurate. You also have the right to request us to complete information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request erasure of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request a restriction on the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request to transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
